Executive Coaching for Leaders Who Can't Afford to Get the Next Decision Wrong

Confidential, ICF-aligned coaching for CEOs, boards, senior executives, and high-potential leaders navigating transition, complexity, and growth — delivered by Master Certified Coaches with global leadership and executive-search experience.
Leadership becomes more demanding as a role becomes larger. The habits that made an executive successful — deep expertise, fast decisions, personal follow-through, close involvement in critical work — can become constraints once a role requires enterprise perspective, a stronger bench, and influence across functions, markets, and cultures.

McKinney Consulting provides executive coaching for leaders stepping into bigger roles, navigating significant change, or preparing for their next challenge. We help you clarify what the role now requires, expand your judgment, and create greater impact through others

Why McKinney Consulting

We work with leaders whose decisions carry real organizational consequences and whose effectiveness depends on how well they lead through complexity, change, and differing perspectives. Coaching here is not generic advice — it is a structured, confidential partnership built around your actual role, stakeholders, and outcomes.
Who we've served

Three Pillars of Our Coaching Practice

Pillar 1 - Leadership Coaching

Moving into a larger role requires more than doing more of what worked before — it requires a shift from functional expertise to enterprise leadership. We coach newly appointed executives, functional leaders taking on regional or global responsibility, high-potential talent preparing for their next step, and senior leaders preparing for broader scope.

What you gain:

• Clarity on what your next-level role actually requires — beyond doing more of what got you here
• A stronger leadership identity, sharper delegation instincts, and greater stakeholder influence
• The judgment and self-awareness that turn strong technical experts into enterprise leaders
• Team capability built around you, so impact no longer depends on your personal follow-through
• Confidential coaching grounded in your real business context, not generic leadership theory
• Sustained behavior change through between-session practice and periodic sponsor progress reviews

Pillar 2 — Executive Presence

How you show up, communicate, and influence determines whether your ideas gain traction at the top of an organization. This work addresses gravitas, communication clarity, cross-cultural authority, and stakeholder confidence — especially for leaders operating between global headquarters and Korea or Asia-Pacific markets.

What you gain:

• Composure and clarity in the moments that matter most — board meetings, investor updates, cross-border negotiations
• Authentic authority that translates across cultures, not just across your home market
• Sharper listening and questioning under pressure, so influence replaces persuasion
• A communication style that earns trust with senior stakeholders, peers, and direct reports alike
• Alignment between how you intend to lead and how people actually experience you
• Greater confidence navigating differing cultural expectations without losing your own voice

Pillar 3 — Strategic Decision-Making

Senior leadership means carrying decisions with real organizational consequences amid ambiguity. This pillar builds the foresight and judgment to act early and well — not just quickly.

What you gain:

• Sharper ability to notice weak signals and emerging risk before they become a crisis
• Stronger judgment under uncertainty — weighing incomplete information without stalling momentum
• A repeatable framework for evaluating trade-offs across competing stakeholder priorities
• A shift from reactive problem-solving to proactive foresight, preparing your team ahead of the market
• A confidential space to pressure-test high-stakes decisions before you commit to them
• More confident, decisive action — without sacrificing the deliberation that big decisions deserve

Our Coaching Approach

Executive coaching at McKinney Consulting follows the professional standards of the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Coaching is distinct from consulting and mentoring: in coaching, you remain the expert in your own situation, and the coach creates a thought-provoking, confidential partnership that supports insight, learning, and sustained action — never a prescribed list of answers.

Every engagement is built around:

  • Established agreements — clear goals, scope, and confidentiality defined before coaching begins
  • A trust-based partnership — coaching, not consulting; you set the direction, we support the thinking
  • Active listening and evoking awareness — sessions designed to surface insight, not deliver instructions
  • Client-driven growth — you turn insight into action; we hold the structure and accountability
  • Measured progress — periodic reviews with your sponsor, always within agreed confidentiality boundaries

A typical engagement includes:

1. Initial leadership assessment and stakeholder input

2. A coaching agreement with clear confidentiality terms

3. Regular one-to-one coaching sessions

4. Between-session reflection and practice

5. Periodic progress reviews with your sponsor
