Steve McKinney Speaks at the 2010 Global Career Forum

Seoul, Korea: The Global Career Forum of 2010 was held on February the 4th at the Korean Chamber of Commerce building and was organized under the umbrella of InterCham, the common body of the diverse chambers of commerce in Korea. Over 500 people attended the successful annual event.

The forum was designed to provide students and professionals with an insight into the Career Prospects in International Business and was well attended by about 500 guests. The forum was divided into three parts, with opening remarks by Mr. Kyung-shik Sohn, Chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry and an initial presentation by Mr. Hyo-Joon Kim, CEO of BMW Korea.

Mr. Philippe Li, President of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry spoke and moderated the break-out session on “Globalization and your career development”. Mr. Steve McKinney, President of McKinney Consulting Inc. spoke and moderated a break-out discussion on “What are foreign companies looking for in new recruits?”

These sessions included presentations, discussion and Q&A by a high caliber forum of professionals, including James Bemowski, Vice-Chairman of Doosan; Young-Sook NAM, Professor of Ewha University; Chris Callen, CEO of DHL Korea; Rob Edwards,Image Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce in Korea and Daniel Mayran, Chairman of the Seoul Luxury Business Institute. Also Anna Dolgikh, HR Executive Director of BAT; Jonathan Holmes, Representative Director of KornFerry International; Kwang-Seok LEE, CEO of Incruit and Manish Prakash, Vice President of the India Marketing Team at SK C&C.
