They wanted to identify a bi-lingual Korean to take on the role of marketing and sales director.

In Korea, they manufacture manual and power rack and pinion steering gears for Japanese and Asian-American vehicles. They were expanding their business in Korea to compete with the competition of the Korean based suppliers for the huge Korean automotive manufacturing clients.

We worked closely with the Branch President of the Korean operations who was from Malaysia. While he had many years of experience in the automotive industry this was his first experience managing a Korean operation. As a new leader in a foreign country identifying and assessing talent was a challenge he could not do on his own.

McKinney assembled a project team and developed a search strategy tailored to the automotive industry, position requirements, time frame and company goals. Using vital information from our clients experience in their industry and our expertise in the industry and search and recruitment of senior level professionals, McKinney attracted and helped our client acquire the local talent he desired.

The talent needed was on-boarded satisfactorily and immediately begin getting results. Our client gives us credit for helping him identify this key leader in marketing and sales who uncovered opportunities that drastically increased their sales by over $100 million.
