Mr. Steven B. McKinney, President of McKinney Consulting an Executive Search Partner firm of IMD International Search & Consulting spoke to a group of senior executives at DBM Korea offices.

All of these senior executives have distinguishing careers in large Korean conglomerates and are now preparing at DBM for the next phase in their careers.

Mr. McKinney provided an overview of McKinney’s operations in Korea and their global partners at IMD. He expanded on the trends that are happening in the work place and within specific industries. One of the items that Mr. McKinney spoke on was the need for continual self evaluation. He coached the senior executives on methods of self evaluation and how one can use this to their advantage.

He also mentioned that change has happened and is happening so fast in Korea that no one can grasp it all. Successful businesses have to understand what is driving that change and where it is going to go next. Also, individual leaders need to continually adjust themselves to the changing environment or be left behind.
